Visitor Visa
A visitor is a temporary resident who has been authorized to enter and remain in Canada as a visitor. You can come to Canada as a tourist. During your stay, you’ll need enough money to support yourself and everyone included in your application. You cannot work or study unless he/she has obtained a work permit or a study permit or is exempt from a work permit or a study permit.
Single-Entry Visa
A single-entry visa allows a foreign national to enter Canada only once, usually for not longer than six months.
Multiple-Entry Visa
A multiple entry visa allows a foreign national to enter Canada multiple times during the validity of the visa. The maximum validity period that a multiple-entry visa can be issued is matched to the maximum validity for the length of the passport, up to 10 years or one month before your passport expires, whichever is shorter.
Transit Visa
A transit visa is for travel through Canada to another country. The foreign national must be able to show travel tickets and is authorized to remain in Canada for up to 48 hours.
(single entry and multiple entry visa - you can separate them the way you did for spouse/common law in sponsorship).
